Cancer Survivors Exercise Class
Reduced activity levels during and after cancer treatment can lead to decreased fitness levels, loss of muscle and bone as well as worsening insulin sensitivity and immune function.
This program is designed improved your overall fitness, muscle strength, bone health and overall wellbeing so can help you return to work and participate in your community.
A typical exercise program for cancer survivors include:
- A 1:1 fitness and medical screening appointment with a chartered physiotherapist
- A twice weekly, small group-based program which is carefully designed to your individual needs
- Advice on exercise to promote wellbeing
- A supportive environment
With the support of chartered physiotherapists, this rehabilitation course will teach you how to perform exercise to increase your muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.
