Bone Health Class
If you have been recently diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia you are probably wondering what you can do about it. Here at ProHealth Physiotherapy we can show you how exercise can help you. Evidence shows that weight bearing exercises are the best type of exercise to keep and improve bone density and increase muscle mass in people with osteoporosis. Balance exercises are equally as important as a fall can result in very serious fractures and injuries.
As osteoporosis and osteopenia are a ‘silent’ condition with no symptoms there will be a strong emphasis on education to give you the tools to manage your condition long term.
